‘Vultures’, the new single from Delta Mainline, commences with a spacious and tranquil feel, however this is soon altered in an intriguing and sudden way as the track develops.
Throughout the first two-minutes-30-seconds the vocals are almost silent; drifting into the background and allowing the soft and gentle instrumental, which flows throughout the track, to take centre stage, however, an unexpected clash of powerful drumming and louder vocals unveil a more intense side.
This quick shift comes as a surprise as it breaks the calm style of the track’s introduction and successfully brings it into a completely different atmosphere.
Overall, this is an interesting track, due to both the mysterious vocals and lyrics, alongside the development of the track from peaceful and melodic to a heightened instrumental and a noticeably opposite style.
