Opener ‘The Cutting Years’ is a warm, folk track with the usual ingredients prepared in a new way.
There’s good performances from both vocals, tight band playing and full production that ensures that it holds your attention throughout.
‘Here Come The Gods’ follows and makes great use of rhyming schemes that leave the listener hanging off of their chair, wanting to know the next line.
‘The Old Man’ takes things down a notch and provides more of the same before ‘Train’ takes us to the end of the line, with claps echoing the drums and providing a rousing, feel-good end to the EP.
