Opener and eponymous track ‘Bring Me The Head’ is barebones, spindly noise created in the punk tradition.
It’s sparse and lo-fi but too empty initially.
The contrasting sections, and as the track wears on, only serve to scatter instrumentation all over the place, resulting in the fight taking place in the song, taking place between musicians.
‘Cakewalk’ on the other hand, is like a whole new band, the only passing resemblance being the use of layered female vocals as before.
It’s got an atmospheric intro and benefits from a solid structure and gives more attention and light to each instrument and shows a much more talented band than ‘Bring Me The Head’ would let on.
