TRAAPS releases his single ‘UNCO’ from his upcoming album, @@@@, and the ex Black City Lights producer was inspired by his inability to focus on one thing at a time whilst trying to attain his goals.
This is clear as the single’s tempo swings methodically back and forth like a trapeze across the slog.
Each time TRAAPS gets within touching distance of the climax the chord pulls him back in the direction of another sound variation.
The artist’s frenzied frustration is palpable as he fights the haul not to become a “jack of all trades, master-of-none,” but ‘UNCO’ shows discipline with the all-encompassing rhythms, which sprawl rapturously.
Showing a snippet of the hard-to-harness inner workings of the brain behind TRAAPS; this song is one with many complex layers transmitting its distorted pulse like a tenacious joy-seeker.
TRAAPS’ self-released album will be out 14 June, in the meantime to wet your palette check out the visually stammering video for ‘UNCO’.
