Coatbridge alternative act Pale Fire’s debut single, ‘William with the Black Dog’, is instantly filled with driving drums and melodic guitar riffs, before vocals join with a classic Glaswegian accent.
As more instrumentation joins in the chorus, the song gains a powerful sound each note keeps the listener hooked.
There’s an obvious deeper meaning to the track than the title’s boy with a dog suggests; “a life of landslides doesn’t cost much”.
All five members are clearly talented, and skilled enough to know sometimes that less is better.
This authentic rock sound, with indie vibes and upbeat, tempo, makes the single a winner and proves Pale Fire to be a band to be watching out for.
