Feel the romanticism; The Paperback Throne, a new band coming from the sweet streets of Glasgow, are preparing an album called Hendi.
The general consensus is that their songs are beautiful and enchanting and indeed their latest single, ‘Emma’, is, it’s a nice and relaxing outset we want to share you.
Having some kind of Celtic inspirations thanks to the violin, The Paperback Throne take us away with soft melodies accompanied by two charming voices that respond to each other, they succeed in creating a very peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a dull and rainy Sunday.
The tempo is slow and the beats are melodious, don’t go and spend your money on yoga listen to this; it is enough to get rid of any nasty thoughts.
Undeniably, it is not the single of the year, however we don’t need advanced and complex riffs to appreciate a song, as far as The Paperback Throne is concerned, the answer is no.
After only one listening of this single you look forward hearing their up-coming album, ‘Amma’ and b-side ‘Colossus’ are two good, melodic tasters that leave you wanting more, watch this space.
