As you might expect from a band called Amazing Snakeheads ‘Here It Comes Again’ is raw and unfettered ‘rock n’ roll.
Often compared to hellraisers like The Gun Club and The Birthday Party, here there’s a touch of the darkness of The Cure or Siouxsie & the Banshees.
The hissing static and nasty ear piercing guitar riffs point to their closest Glaswegian ancestors, The Jesus and Mary Chain, with whom they share a similar disdain for conventional song structures.
The best thing about ‘Here It Comes Again’ though is singer Dale Barclay’s voice, aggressive and feral like Nick Cave squaring up for a bar fight.
It’s kicking out time at the saloon, Amazing Snakeheads will see you outside.
