She may look Nordic, she may even sound kinda Nordic, but straight outta Clydebank comes KLOE, née Chloe Latimer, with this third offering; slightly bubblegum, bit ethereal, touch of dreamy melodrama… and heavily heavily produced.

With already noted and serious transatlantic ambitions in the offing one can only hope that this doesn’t end up in the horrifying destination marked, ‘Sheena Easton’.

Where it falls down perhaps is that it doesn’t reveal a great deal more with repeated listens; it is what it is and by the time you’ve marched through it three or four times that’s pretty much it; such are the perils of polishing music to the nth degree and without it being over-endowed with annoying, but effective hooks therein lies the rub.
It does feature a liberal sprinkling of fags and booze in the video – enough to put off daytime pop television shows if such a thing still exists – but musically it could as well been knocked up by the latest, entertainingly sinister Swedish hit machine looking for a credible angle on their day off.
Not as impressive as debut single ‘Grip’, but not bad at all; just remember that not every crease needs ironed, not every piece of grit need become a flawless shiny pearl.
