‘Goodbye: Tiny Fractures’ is a melodic, upbeat, summer indie track that blends bright, sharp riffs with a distorted chorus, guaranteed for head bopping along to.
To begin with, the track captures the collective sound of the indie guitar band, with short breaks left open for anticipation of a hammer-on bass section.
As the song progresses the cheerful indie pop record becomes a little more heavy and distorted, giving it more of a rock ‘n’ roll vibe rather than the summer pop sound it started with.
The track continues to become heavier, which eventually leads to a breakdown leaving it wide open for an overdriven guitar solo, still backed by a hard beat and funky bass-line as the song captures the essence of rock soloing.
After the solo section it jumps straight back into the chorus, ending the song with a perfect cadence of an indie track, with the bright guitar tones coming back to round it off.
The Dirty Blonde has produced a well-rounded and catchy pop song that is easy to get immersed in due to changing tones and addictive melodies.
