Hailing from Edinburgh, Return To The Sun are no strangers, having gigged regularly since their formation in 2013, they have a strong dedicated following in both their hometown and further afield.
New single ‘Haze’ opens with their signature thumping but catchy riffs, before making way for a great pop chorus.
The clean guitar in the verses has an almost Nile Rodgers vibe, but works surprisingly well in the context of the song.
‘Haze’ is full of hooks that grab your attention, from the intertwining guitars on the second verse, to the quiet bridge section that makes an already huge chorus sound even bigger in comparison.
No one can question the band’s ability to write catchy pop rock.
It is refreshing to see an indie band with a huge amount of substance in their tracks, Return To The Sun don’t seem to be afraid to stray slightly from the blueprint, yet they still produce outstanding results.
