‘Trigger’ mixes a raw, grunge based sound with surprisingly melodic and harmonising vocals, a contrast that may sound potentially difficult to do well, but Sonic Templars prove that untrue.
Within the first 10-seconds it is clear to see where their influences lie, with bands such as Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Alice In Chains creeping through the heavy rock sound which is projected.
’Trigger’ is a well-structured track, which allows the band to explicitly state what sound they wish to achieve; grunge/rock mixed with more modern, alternative aspects.
It is a single that is bound to attract attention and receive a positive reaction when played live.
