‘Dancers in Casts’ is the latest single from Glasgow alternative rockers Glassbooks and it’s one that immediately sparks interest due to a number of reasons.
Firstly the vocal style of lead singer David Escudero King is one that is extremely raw and mesmerising, a further interesting feature is the fact that the last verse is almost entirely sung in Spanish; furthermore, the transition between English and Spanish is flawless and this characteristic alone.
Through listening to this track, the shift in language only enhances the need to understand the lyrical content, meaning the single can be listened to repeatedly with ease.
‘Dancers in Casts’ easily establishes Glassbooks as a band that is very individual and a band that easily stands out from the crowd.
