Browsing The Rhemedies Facebook page you see that the band list their interests as “drinking, nonsense, gigging”.
This ‘insight’ may create expectations of a chaotic, hazy and archetypal rock sound, however their new single ‘Leave Me Alone’ displays quite the opposite.
This track ticks all the boxes required for a modern day indie track; upbeat guitar riffs, repetitive and recognisable drumming, contrasting with moody, low vocals.
This mix creates something relatively safe, however, B-side ‘You’ll Never See My Face Again’ displays a much livelier experience, mirroring the band’s online status with something much more chaotic and exciting, that imaginably, will be a success when played live.
