OSKAR – ‘Wildlings’

Dunfermline indie rock five-piece OSKAR has only be around since April, yet in this short time they have not only managed to release their debut EP but have also supported the likes of Catfish and The Bottlemen and fellow Scot’s Fatherson, finishing the year off with a headline show at King Tut’s.

Now at the start of 2015 they release their new single, ‘Wildlings’; the track begins with soft drums and an elegantly plucked guitar before introducing lead vocalist David Stevens’ strong and captivating vocals.

Stevens’ vocals are similar to personal favourite, The Phantom Band’s Rick Anthony, but unlike The Phantom Band, OSKAR serve these vocals upon a more soothing and dramatic spread.

This much-welcomed difference allows the track to keep building up until it bursts into life, bringing together beautiful harmonies, crashing guitars and loud drums to create a triumphant ending, which will leave your heart racing.
