At first listen of the new Picnic Basket Nosedive single, ‘Meshuggah, We’re Going Down’, you are automatically blasted with the nostalgia of early 2000’s pop punk.
The band themselves state that their musical influences include bands such as New Found Glory and Four Year Strong and this is highly apparent through the style of the song.
The track itself brings forward the image of standing at a festival in the summer with a cold beer in hand jumping up and down with all your friends or standing in a tightly packed gig with numerous sweaty and topless individuals giving it their all.
The chorus is highly catchy and one that you can easily find yourself singing along to after only listening to it a few times.
Picnic Basket Nosedive are pop punk at its finest and ‘Meshuggah, We’re Going Down’ is a single which would fit in quite easily at any house party of that ilk.
