‘Five Star’, the new single by Wozniak, grips from the second it starts; the use of the synthesiser at the beginning of the track, a stable building block to introduce further interesting and influential sounds as you are left constantly discovering new instruments and experiences all throughout.
More often than not with Wozniak your ears are unsure which instrument to focus on most, as so much effort and passion clearly exists in each, but they come together to create a deeply layered sound.
Unlike previous singles, such as ‘New Hampshire’ and ‘El Maresme’, ‘Five Star’ loses the ambient vocal, however this is not missed as vocals are not entirely needed when it comes to producing tracks are gripping as ‘Five Star’.
If you are a fan of bands like Goodspeed You! Black Emperor then give Wozniak a listen, you won’t be disappointed.
