A tranquil and dreamy piano riff commences Oxford Coast’s new single ‘Lone Wolf’, followed by the soft vocals of singer Chris Latham.
The track is romantic and relaxing, which is enhanced by the minimal use of instruments in the beginning, which is later enhanced by the introduction of drums and electric guitar bringing the track to a slight crescendo in the chorus, while maintaining a delicate and melodic sound.
‘Lone Wolf’ has a raw sound with a live performance feel, allowing the listener to picture what an Oxford Coast gig would resemble.
B-side, an acoustic recording of ‘Push It’ has a similar sound to the A-side with its easygoing calmness, however the lyrics play an important role within this track.
“We never got over our first love, anyway” sings Latham beside passionate acoustic guitar, creating more intensity.
The tracks fit well together creating an interesting and exciting introduction to Oxford Coast.
