This split EP from two of Scotland’s favourite punk rock bands offers fast, aggressive and more importantly loud music.
CLEAVERS are known for their crazy shows and ferocious noise and The Kimberly Steaks for being linked to an early Green Day, so you can only imagine how well their music works together on the one record.
Opener, ‘Speak! Speak!’ by CLEAVERS, is a very catchy track that sets you in mind of a festival with the crowd going mental.
‘Gradually Worse’ continues along the same vein but with a lot more screaming, still it fits well maintaining that fun and catchy vibe.
The Kimberly Steaks’ ‘No Brainer’ and ‘Fix My Head’ are extremely fast, loud and full of punk energy.
EP closer ‘All My Friends Are Ghosts’ sounds different from the other two tracks by The Kimberly Steaks, more living up to their Green Day comparisons.
Both bands work well side by side providing a fast, loud and extremely aggressive EP, all in all a great, catchy pop-punk record.
