Record review: The Cat That Walks Alone – ‘Love Will Always Come’ [Align Romance]

a1550665277_10The main attribute of a cat’s personality is solitude, but we are not prompted to feel pity when observing one, the name of this act is appropriate due to the acceptance and self-assured nature of a feline.

Upon listening to his music, Cameron Laing is clearly embracing his upbeat lone wolf status; a haunting guitar and piano opening transports you to a seaside town passing on the gift of tranquillity, the listener finds themselves drifting off on a wave of delicate vocals and gentle acoustic sound.

Tambourine and other percussion introduce you to the more upbeat portion of the song with inspirational lyrics on love and optimism.

Steady guitar helps to maintain thoughts of a bright and shiny future, following on logically from the title of the tune.

Walking down the street listening to this song, you imagine many would feel more confident about their plans for the day or possibly even life in general.

Higher pitches accompanying the rest of the sound add to the light-hearted mood.

The track would be at home in a relaxing playlist or the soundtrack to any of the more stylish shows on television these days.

Although ‘Love Will Always Come’ lacks any particularly distinguishing features it would most definitely compliment pre-existing notions on placidity or emotional relaxation with the likely possibility of growing on you after each listen.
