You may have seen this last night but Detour has something massive in the pipeline, if you missed it it’s a couple of very unique and special gigs happening on October 8-9. Detour were approached by The Glasgow Science Center to curate their Stellar Sounds project, bringing astronomy to a different audience. Here’s the acts which you get to watch under the stars: October 8 Remember Remember, Miaoux Miaoux, October 9 Meursault, Happy Particles.
Both gigs will feature two short astronomy lessons and during the performances, the planetarium’s star show will be happening. Its all seated and there are only 100 tickets available to be entertained and informed in, doors at 7.30 each night. Tickets £6.
And to go with this amazing sounding gig a touch of bad news, Glasgow’s fight pop merchants Dananananaykroyd are calling it a day after five years together, there appears to be no bad blood between the band and as we are sad to see them go we look forward as much as anything to a variety of new projects emerging from this.
Former De Rosa man Martin John Henry is playing a headline show at Stereo on October 8 with support from The Seventeenth Century.
Tuesday sees Teeth, Ubre Blanca and Aggi Doom hit the stage at The Captain’s.
