The Hardy Boys new album, British Melancholy, will be released on Bubblegum Records on October 24. You can pre-order one of a limited edition 100 signed copies with exclusive e-book now by checking the label website, be quick!
New Glasgow project A Square Go is the latest to take on putting music events on when you wouldn’t expect them, following on from Winning Sperm Party’s Generator Gigs in some respects. Anyway the first event for this project looks a belter and it’s happening in a west end bedroom on August 18 with a line up of The Radiation Line, Yahweh and Conquering Animal Sound (pictured by Ingrid Mur). Buy a compilation HERE and it is valid as a ticket to the show, it’s only £4 and the space will only hold 50 or so bodies so jump to it!
That Three Blind Wolves gig I talked about the other day at ABC2 on August 14 has been expanded upon, Washington Irving are joining them, it’s all part of the No Mean City Festival.
Skinny Villains are supporting the Mix Up at Flat 0/1 on September 10, tickets £5/6, they also play Slow Club at Bloc on September 27.
Shambles Miller is playing Bloc on August 16, Glasgow Slow Club night, it’s free.
Carnivores are supporting The Blackout and Flood of Red at the ABC, not my cup of tea but a big show, congratulations on August 24.
