Today’s news featuring Boycotts, We Are The Physics, Take A Worm For A Walk Week and more

Hey folks, like I said the other day things will be a little few and far between for the next two weeks as I’m out of Glasgow, sadly I’m not at SXSW like everyone else but there’s no complaints on my part. However, I’m still trying to get some semi regular updates up so do please bare with me.

 

Frightened Rabbit‘s Scott Hutchison headlines a Red Cross Fundraiser for Japan at Stereo on March 30th. Please get yourself along it’ll be a great show and for a good cause, Haight-Ashbury and Jill O’Sullivan and Jenny Reeve (Sparrow and The Workshop, Strike The Colours) are supporting. Tickets £5, doors 7.30pm.

We Are The Physics are going to play their first gig in Glasgow in what seems like an age, the gig will be at Bloc on April 23rd and we hope we’ll get a tatser of the upcoming new material.

Take A Worm For A Walk Week launch their self-released new album T.A.W.F.A.W.W. at the CCA on April 7th, £5 entry, doors 7.30pm.

Boycotts are set to launch not one but two upcoming singles at Tut’s on April 9th. The release is for ‘Press Play’ and ‘Real Life’ and support comes from Otherpeople and Miniature Dinosaurs. Tickets are £6 and available HERE.

Golden Grrrls have the awesome task of supporting Crystal Stilts at the Arches on Sunday, if you haven’t got a ticket yet there are still some available for £9+bf, HERE.

Another Brain Burner gig on the horizon, I mentioned this in passing in the review from last weeks event but it’s now official. So, the line up for April 10th is Wounded Knee, Muris, theapplesofenergy and Iliop. Doors at 9pm and it’s free entry as per usual at The Liquid Ship, there’s another coming up this Sunday too which features The Radiation Line, UG!, Mesiah Complex, Cop Porn and Lady Thighs.

Alasdair Roberts plays the CCA on April 21st, ticket are £7 for this one and doors at 8pm.
