Bubblegum Records begin their download project For Singles Only with a two track single from Ex-Crush. Ex-Crush is Chris and Katie, who are also in The Just Joans.
The tracks were released on 17th December but here they are for your listening pleasure.
Bubblegum’s For Singles Only project (a limited edition of 200 downloads with art work designed by the bands and printable as an A3 poster). The idea behind For Singles Only is to provide something special to those that love to collect music and attempt to make the process of downloading a tad less bland. Bands receive the lion’s share of income from sales, allowing them funds to rehearse and record new material. So many bands and labels provide music for free, and this has to be applauded, but how do bands financially sustain themselves? Bubblegum hopes that by providing these limited editions at an affordable price, that music fans will support the bands, allowing them to release more songs. A simple idea and one that we hope people will support.
