Wallflower is the latest release from Irish born, Glasgow based songwriter Martha Ffion and follows strongly on the heels of ‘No Applause’, our #10 track of last year.
The single floats along on a hip sixties vibe dripping with Ffion’s sugarcoated wistful vocal juxtaposed with driving distorted guitar.
The light and breezy air of the song hides mature intelligent lyrics with a dark edge to their theme and the whole package comes together to form the perfect indie pop song, with a strong Glasgow feel to it.
With hints of Blood Relatives the track is melodic, warm and mischievous and yearns to be toured round the summer festival circuit.
Ffion is quickly becoming a new musical crush for Glasgow gig goers and success is sure to come her way with national radio play already obtained.
She will soon no longer be a hidden gem with one of the best tracks of the year so far!
