Today’s news featuring Fatherson, Pivo Pivo April Fools Day and more

Fatherson have confirmed a special single launch for ‘First Born’ (out April 9) at The Apple Store, Glasgow, on April 12 after winning ‘Best Alternative/Rock Act’ at the SAMAs the other night, watch the video above.

On April Fools Day at Pivo Pivo, there will be an all dayer of music featuring The Bucky Rage, The Rag N Bone Man, Homesick Aldo, Filthy Little Secret, The Girobabies, Charles Randolph Rivers’ Slim Rhythm Revue, Sleepy Eyes Nelson, iwantout, 3pm, £5.

A few upcoming gigs for The Dirty Beggars that I haven’t mentioned yet, they play the Grand Ole Opry on March 18 and they support RURA‘s album launch at Stereo on March 27.

Brilliant news that Mitchell Museum‘s hiatus is now over and they’re back together and working on a their second album, they have a new member too in Gavin Thomson (FIndo Gask, grnr), listen to their brand new track ‘Glasshouse’ here:

Where We Lay Our Heads have announced the release of our debut single ‘Bury You’ which is set for release on March 19 and is accompanied by their first Scottish tour with Edinburgh’s LETTERS, the Glasgow date of the tour, which also features Cafe Disco, on March 21 at the Captains Rest will act as the single launch, listen to the single below:
