Today’s news featuring Communion Glasgow, Washington Irving and more

Washington Irving are having a leap year party at Flat 0/1 on February 29 (just to spell it out), four years on from their first ever gig, this time they’re a bit bigger though, 8pm, £6.

Communion presents you a special mix of local and international acts on February 28, featuring Tommy Reilly, with Blackpool’s Rae Morris, Canadians making their first trip to Scotland Deep Dark Woods, recent Communion signings Gabriel & The Hounds, with local favourites Every Genius Delivers, at the Captains Rest, 7.30pm, £6.

The Xcerts are building quite a name for themselves and play The Garage on May 16, 7pm, £8.

New York’s White Hills are supported by The Cosmic Dead at The Arches on March 21, 7pm, £8.

East Kilbride’s Poor Frisco play Slouch on March 11, 7pm, free, check their new demo on soundcloud.
