Today’s news featuring Admiral Fallow, Three Blind Wolves and more

A bit far in advance and pretty optimistic but it’s happening Admiral Fallow will be headlining the Barrowlands on December 8 following on from a sold out Celtic Connections show at the ABC, massive, £14.

As part of the fundraising to send Three Blind Wolves to SXSW two of the band’s friends and the best live bands in the Scotland have offered to play a special show, Sparrow and the Workshop, John Knox Sex Club will be joined by TBW, doing a stripped back set, at Stereo on February 22, 7.30pm, £6.

A full psychedelic line up at the 13th Note as Gnod visit Glasgow on February 24, support comes from Thoth, Pyramidion, The Cosmic Dead, 8pm, £5.

Those girls at MILK are having an anti-V Day event featuring live sets from Carnivores and So Many Animal Calls (single launch), with Midnight Lion taking over DJ duties, it’s at Flat 0/1 as usual, February 15, 9pm, £4/3.

Waiting on Jack, Whigs & Rakes, Brazil Exists, Roxbury complete a great array of Scottish talent put on by Fiasco Productions at Pivo Pivo on February 18, 7pm, £5.

Northern Irish multi-instrumentalist Rams’ Pocket Radio plays with Skippy Dyes, Hunter, Gorman at Sleazy’s on February 15, 7.3pm, £6.

Hector Bizerk seem to be featuring a hell of a lot recently, no one’s complaining, anyway they’re playing DeathKill4000 at Bloc February 4, 10pm, free til midnight, £2 thereafter.

The Red Room’s first event of 2012 combines gig and exhibition with live music from Tangles, theapplesofenergy, Left of Venus, and several Glasgow based artist exhibiting their work around the Old Hairdressers on February 20, 8pm, £3.

Irish four-piece The Funeral Suits finish their UK tour with a gig at Tut’s on March 10, support comes from Glasgow punk rockers Great Cop, 7.30pm, £4/6.
