Bit late through on noting this one but just in the nick of time to give it a shout; North Atlantic Oscillation play Tut’s tomorrow with Findo Gask, A Torn Mind and Bellow Below. To set the record straight this is not the Findo Gask we knew from a while ago, I don’t know who these guys are, however the other Findo Gask did state “in case there’s any confusion, the Findo Gask at Tut’s in September is not us…” Then “re: our previous post – go and see North Atlantic Oscillation anyway, they’re ace!” Compliment enough, tickets are £6.
Tracer Trails presents the intriguing and wonderful looking Archive Trails tour in October, Glasgow date October 28 at CCA. Basically, Alasdair Roberts, Aileen Campbell and Wounded Knee earlier this year got access to what sounds a magical archive of traditional folk songs, tales, oral history, ethnographic photography and video compiled by The School of Scottish Studies Archive and they will be touring a set of new music inspired by their findings. Tickets £5/7.
Kirkcaldy electronic four-piece Little Buddha are going on a UK tour with two Glasgow dates, one on the southside at La Roche Rumba, Pollockshields on November 5 and Soundhaus on November 18.
