Hey guys, I didn’t manage to get a news update yesterday so I’ll feature a few things that have happened over past couple of days.
Firstly we have a couple of new live reviews up including the Croc Vs Croc gig from a week Friday complete with shiny new pictures and the Brain Burner show from the Liquid Ship last night, check them out.
Speaking of the Croc vs Croc show it was a brilliant success selling out the Art School and going someway to sending North American War and Fur Hood stateside. Well both of those bands are on their way today and we wish them the best of luck, they’re going to do us a wee insight into the tour once they get back as well! Looking forward to hearing the stories.
I mentioned Doune the Rabbit Hole just the other day, well here’s the poster, full details of the festival are available from their website, I highly recommend you get along I certainly hope to be there:
This looks a little bit tasty, Deskjob is an album produced by Jonnie Common (formerly Down the Tiny Steps) that houses an incredible line-up of artists most of which feature on this line up. Each act will perform two tracks each at the gig. Tickets are £5, the album is £7 or you can get both for £11 here.
The excellent FOUND have sold out The Captain’s Rest this evening so there’s no doubt it’ll be a big sweaty mess this eventing. Fear not if you didn’t manage to get a ticket they’re playing along at Oran Mor on the 30th too supporting Bombay Bicycle Club.
Also, as the ever consistent free Monday-Tuesday night shows at Mono continue we get a chance to see the excellent Fox Gut Daata play great chance to catch him free of charge, especially after illness forced him to pull out of the Gerry Loves Records show at the Rest a couple of weeks ago.
Artwork for Dananananaykroyd’s second album due out it June, can’t wait! They have a one off intimate gig at the Ivy on June 3rd aswell.
Here’s the new Mogwai video for ‘San Pedro’
A new Julia and the Doogans tack to download here, it’s called ‘Do You Like Star Wars?’ and is a wee piece of fun:
